I just saw "Beowulf" this evening with a couple of buddies. The movie was pretty good. I thought the action was awesome, especially the battle at the end. Now, I wanna know--is it weird I found myself getting...riled up by the characters? Beowulf himself was, well...hot. I mean, he rockin' an eight-pack and a killer ass. And Angelina Jolie as a demon dressed in nothing but liquid gold--OMG. Looked so good, it made me want to slap my momma.
 
I love the original Beowulf story, so I'll be staying away from this movie because they seem to have done lots of Hollywood butchering (since when can Grendel's Mother change into a hot chick?!). Plus, I'm not a fan of the whole CGI thing.
 
Didn't care for the way the changes in the story completely changed his character, but I'll be damned if the IMAX 3D version didn't win me over. It was absolutely beautiful, although for some reason the queen looked like a square-jawed drag queen for the first half of the movie. Beautiful CGI, and I'm not usually a big fan of it.

But damn, they sure can make some beautiful naked people with CGI these days.

Didn't they do that to all the men in 300 ? touch them all up. I'll take Gerard Butler with or without touch up any day or night.
