Hey guys, I am a young boy that wants to remove some of his excess hair. Do any of you guys regularly use products to remove hair? I am not at the point of wanting to have my hair removed via laser, maybe just some over the counter products. I have tried Nair for men but I did not like it and found it to be a waste. :)

There is no such thing as best hair removal. You are stuck between shaving, trying depilatory creams, waxing or using an electric trimmer. Each of these methods has plus and minuses. With shaving it's very involved process, takes long time, leaves prickly feel on your body and causes irritation. With depilatory creams, they either work well, or work well to the point of causing chemical burns and irritations or are not strong enough to remove the hair. You'll just have to experiment with different brands. Look at amazon reviews. Waxing can be your better option if you find an experienced salon and it lasts for months as opposed to days. What didn't you like about Nair?

I like the regular Nair (for women). Leave it on for about 10 minutes then rinse off. Works great for me. I shave my pubes and pits though.

I should try the nair lotion. I tried the nair spray for mens and did not like it. It burned my skin a bit and did not remove all the hair.

Go on amazon and read reviews of VEET products. There are also reviews on youtube on depilatory creams. Use depilatory creams exactly as instructed. I read stories of guys trying these harsh creams with improper use on their balls and ass cracks and then complain that these products burned them severely. Or people put them on for 15 minutes when instructions say 8 minutes max and have burns or redness etc..

I love my Philips Bodygroomer. I used to use hair removal creams because shaving with blades really irritated my skin. The main problem was that those creams are kinda expensive if you use them on a regular basis.

The bodygroomer is both good for trimming and close shaving. The shaving end of it shaves just as close to the skin as blades do but without irritating it as much. I never rarely get ingrown hairs now which was a problem for me before. If you want you can use it with moisturizing cream or in the shower.

If you want to remove bodyhair long term without laser I hear electrolysis work as good as lasers do.

I commented on this in another thread.

I used a depilatory cream and yes, I have burned myself with them especially around the sensitive areas. Now I only use the creamer on large areas like the legs, chest and butt cheeks. Once you see the hair starting to curl up, then take a wet wash cloth and wipe. if comes off then jump in shower and remove with wash cloth.

Then I used the Norelco Body Groomer for more private parts. I have learned by mistake how to use it properly so need to practice. I learned to use ONLY THE FOIL PART and not the side. You can shave your balls and asshole without a knick but need a steady hand and can also use a cream shave to assist.
