I too would add "The Green Mile". One of the best ever! All the performances in that movie were incredible. It will be a classic prison movie.

"The Shawshank Redemption" and "Midnight Express" would certainly be at the top of my list, but also "Escape From Alcatraz" -- I'm surprised that one didn't even make the cut.

I would imagine, anyone that shows full frontal strip search nudity and hot prison shower scenes.

Prison guards dont know how good they have it.

The Green Mile was my favorite prison flick. Lots of great characters. Also, does anyone remember "The Glass House" with Alan Alda as a new inmate, and Vic Morrow as the prison leader who rapes a new kid, who then commits suicide?

- "Carandiru" was a crude brazilian pic
- "Midnight Express"

- "Caged" which probably wasn't that good (I saw it a long time ago), but I thought it's be good to list a women prison films.

Don't really fancy prison movie. But Shawshank Redemption really got me hooked.
