Does ANYONE have a good recommendation for DVD cloning software for a Macintosh???

The software would need to be able to DECODE and then BURN the new DVD...

I've looked at a LOT of sites -- and (even though it is all a little over my head) they ALL claim to be the BEST -- regardless of the price...

Right now -- I was considering using the FREE "Mac the Ripper" for decoding and then Roxio's ($50) Popcom to burn the DVD...

BUT -- that is just a guess based on what I've been reading -- which again -- they ALL say that they are the BEST...

If you have had any personal experience with GOOD results -- I'd appreciate your recommendations!!!

THANKS!!!

OH...

And JUST IN CASE someone thinks that we're trying to DEFRAUD a Copyright...

We're NOT...

It is just that I'd RATHER MAKE COPIES of DVD's that we ALREADY OWN and take them in the truck with me while I'm driving around the country...

RATHER than taking the ORIGINAL...

THANKS!!!

Swerve, what's wrong with using Leopard's internal software?

I'm STILL kind of stupid when it comes to MAC -- I've only had mine since March -- AND -- I pretty much just use the basics...

I wasn't aware that Leopard had components that could accomplish this...

Which program would it be???

THANKS!!!

p.s. I have a MacBook Pro that was bought new in 3/09 -- and I TRY to keep the software updates UPDATED!!!

I have had some good luck with mac the ripper and then use toast to burn. I do not do it often and each time is like reinventing the wheel.

If you know you will never do anything other than copy DVDs, your own suggestion is good: Mac The Ripper, then Roxio Popcorn.

But if you will ever need additional features like copying/creating audio CDs, authoring DVDs, converting to and from DivX formats etc, spend the extra dollars and buy Roxio Toast, which is the real Rolls Royce of burning software for Mac OS.

Lol copying it is still illegal no matter what the circumstances are. But I do it all the time =P

Not tried it for DVD films, but the way I copy DVDs and CDs is create a disk image (DMG) in Disk Utility then just burn the image onto a new disc.
