Now, we have all seen the films based on our comic book super heroes, but which musical theme film score did you think was the best?

I'd have to go with Danny Elfman's Batman. The score is amazing, dramatic, and has an iconic tune that never leaves your head. Its the kind where if you randomly heard it somewhere you'd know, "That's Batman!"

How about you?

(This is actually only part of the Batman theme. Danny Elfman's main theme score actually runs for 8:24. Different sections are played throughout the movie. Overall, the score in totality is a story unto itself.)

I like Elfmans' Batman score but, i've always liked John Williams Superman as well.:D

Does The Crow count?

The score in The Crow was phenomenal. Major props.

How about Duel of the Fates in the Phantom Menace? I thought that was phenomenal. They should have saved that entirely for Episode 3. Fortunately, they did go back and use some elements of it for ROTS, though, but I would have preferred the whole thing.

Spider-Man

The opening credits music always get me going

I have to vote for Superman. Or anything else by John Williams, for that matter. I think he is the best modern composer, alive.

I agree with Elfman's "Batman" as well, but I'd also through in the "Batman Begins" soundtrack as well.

Hot stuff.

John Williams score for SUPERMAN was, and still is, superb. If Superman was able to fly in that movie all the credit goes to the music. Try to watch the film without the score and then tell me if I'm wrong.

i would have to say john william's score for superman: the movie was quite simply, the best.

I have to agree with you. I went and saw the opening credits for the original Superman film again and it does surpass any other superhero theme. John Williams is a phenomenal composer. If I had to rate them, I would say Superman was 1st with Batman coming in at a close 2nd.

the various dc comics animated series had some great opening themes. my favorite being the one from justice league...
