Beyonce vs. Etta James

All too often, when a remake is done by a the star of the day, people say the original is better without question. Well, I listened to Etta's version and I wasn't impressed with it. She can sing, but her version isn't untouchable. I happen to like when a singer doesn't sing a song straight through without any melismas and riffs because it would be boring to me.
