Bears Big, Muscular Bear

He's not even categorized as a bear, but the mods still continue to let this thread fly in this section.
This exclusive attitude from the bear community bothers me just as much as the exclusive attitude coming from the mainstream gay community. As far as I'm concerned, saying "he's not a bear so he doesn't belong" is just as bad as any twink saying "ew, he's fat!" or "ew, he's old!" Why do people who are ostracized always have to turn around and ostracize somebody else? How about we try to be a little bit better than that? I do understand that you want to maintain a space for those who don't fit into the mainstream, but do you really think the occasional thread with a non-bear is gonna significantly encroach on that? The appropriate response here would be: "I don't know who the guy is, but you might want to try the other forums as well since he's technically not a bear" (along the lines of Kurn's response). Personally, I'd classify the model as cubbish and therefore welcome in this forum, but then again, I'm probably not bearish enough to have my opinion count.

Amen to that...
