Blade Runner 2

The original was such a game changer in the way sci fi was depicted in movies. That gritty urban look will not look authentic with the cgi modern film makers rely on.

Yea I agree with that and I don't have complete faith in modern Ridley Scott, he hasn't really blown me away with anything he's done. Granted I haven't seen the Martian yet.

If Ryan Goslings in it, then it should be good. I'm hoping that this one is as good as the first one.

Like maybe put Lady Gaga in it or something. If not her then have Ariana Grande star in.

I'll stick with the original. As for Ridley Scott, I really liked Alien. Aliens was a better movie (James Cameron) IMHO. The 3rd one sucked ass.

I won't go see the sequel of Blade Runner in the theater. I'll wait until it comes out on DVD. If it turns out that I like it, I'll buy the Bluray version.

I'm pretty sure Blade Runner is in the Alien universe and Ridley will tie the two together (kinda has already with the promethus easter egg)

I will go see it. It will probably suck but I hope not. Maybe not as bad as what Prometheus did to the Alien franchise. I suspect it will mostly be a rehash of the original with really cool CG, like Star Wars The Force Awakens. I love movie theater popcorn so that's a motive on its own.

In the "making of" discs in the boxed set for the film the stunt double who performed the gymnastic moves for Daryl Hannah was talking about how long it took to arrange the scenes since Scott was obsessed with the correct density of the mist and smoke in every scene. While waiting the male stunt double dressed in Hannah's costume and blond fright wig walked up to Scott and asked, "Do you have smoke in your house?" Even James Hong who portrayed "Hannibal Chew" (the eye guy) said, "It was too much, too much everything. Too much stress setting up each scene, too much waiting. Just too much." And that he'd never do it again. I think Scott's films always had daddy issued themes in them and that seemed to intensify after his brother's very public suicide. I don't think smoke and mist density is going to cut it anymore. They should leave it alone.
