After intensive anal sex, the bottom has blood in pee. What should he do? Is it something serious? Please help! Thanks so much... watching the update...

The two events are unlikely to be connected.

Usually blood in urine (hematuria) is caused by infection or by kidney stones.

If it's a small amount of blood, call your doctor in the morning. If it's a large amount of blood, you should go to the emergency room.

Thanks you. Not a big amount. The sex was intensive. Still unlikely to be connected?

This is so embarrassing.

will drinking more water help? or will drinking less help? Thanks very much for help!!!

it would make more sense for the top to have problems... there's really not a connection between the bottom and the urinary tract....

He should drink plenty of fluids... cranberry juice if available but definitely followup with the doctor so that they can determine the source of the blood.

UPDATE guys:

Bottom had Blood in semen when ejaculating. Then he found blood in urine afterward when peeing. A small clot was found in urine...

Second pee was iced tea color.

10 minutes later, the third pee was normal clear. No hues

lol oh boy

years back i had a burst blood vessel in my urethra

it hurt like a bitch and bled a little...

when i looked up what it could be while i was waiting for my ride to the hospital i found out it could be a urinary tract infection, kidney stones, even possibley penile cancer/cancer of the urethra

make sure he goes to see a doctor as soon as he can... hopefully its nothing serious

the treatment for a burst blood vessel down there btw is man up and don't jerk off for a few days... and believe me... the pain i felt from it kept my penis down for days... so the no jerking part was no prob

Don't disagree at all with your advice, but I did note that in the OP the sex was described as "intense" ... possibly a twist on "jogger's haematuria"?

He doesn't exactly specify what was done, but it seems that if they really got things bouncing around, somewhat the same results might occur.

I note from the later update that a clot was passed, and that the urine cleared, at least to the naked eye. It still wouldn't be a bad idea to have it checked out.

This is kind of a side discussion.. it doesn't pertain much to the OP's question...

What gets described as "joggers hematuria" could describe one of three conditions- traumatic bleeding of the urinary blader (believed to be from the repetitive bouncing of the bladder), rhabdomyolysis or disseminated intravascular coagulation.

I did give some thought to traumatic bleeding of the kidney or bladder but it would have had to have been really rough sex- like throwing each other around the room for a couple of hours kind of stuff. :D

Rhabdo or DIC didn't really fit the profile (although the 'tea colored urine' was an interesting comment).

In either scenario, OP does need to get evaluated by a physician. The real question was whether it warranted a trip to the emergency room. Since he didn't have the fever, cramping and extreme pain usually seen with a UTI or a lithiasis, it is less likely to be emergent. The description of a small amount of blood with no pain made me recommend followup with his family MD in the morning.

Had blood also few years ago next day was in the hospital with kidney stones.

I had blood in my ejaculate a few years ago - and just about freaked (wouldn't you if you saw pink cum?!)

I saw my GP (also a runner/triathlete) who knew I was Ironman training - who said "probably from bike riding - don't worry unless if fails to go away quite quickly" and I was reassured - and he was right.

Anyway - what I'm getting to - has the subject been doing a lot of high intensity bike training? Could this be a possibility? (Oh - and watch out Orion - you could be next, hehe).

Usually blood in urine indicates either an infection somewhere in your urinary system or kidney stones...as it's been said by others previously.
It can be quite painful as well so seek a doctor at once.

OK Guys, thanks for your posts.

I thought this would benefit other guys, so let me give a bit detailed description here. The couple had an intensive sex, 3-5 minutes longer than what the bottom normally has. Bottom later found blood in urine afterward when peeing. A small clot was found in urine...

Second pee was iced tea color.

10 minutes later, the third pee was normal clear. No hues

Bottom recollected that he did not ejaculate semen with blood. When bottom came, the top, who didn't cum yet, kept working his dick inside the bottom for 3 more minutes despite the discomfort that he had caused to the bottom. I think this is the KEY. If you are a bottom and you have cum, allowing the top to keep fucking you MAY cause blood in urine, since your prostate and the area would be tender.

A lesson learned!

Though, on a few occassions before I wisened up to the impact a saddle has on comfort, I did experience some negative effects from riding, including some pain during urination

...and totally numb genitals. Yep - been there!

Mind you - my days of mega distance bike rides finished about a decade ago - just recreational these days - and I'm sure saddles have improved greatly in the interim.

Now (with apologies) I'll let this thread be un-hijacked. :)

This makes me wonder if what I had was a burst blood vessel. It was painful for the first 3 urinations after the blood first appeared, and then the pain and the red and pink colored urine went away after that.

It did happen after a masturbation the night before.
