I was wondering... while identifying your sexuality and accepting yourself, have you read books about the subject? And do you think it might be helpful and/or interesting??

I went to Amazon and I saw these ones:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Outing-Yourself-Lesbian-Friends-Coworkers/dp/0684826178/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1236299160&sr=1-2"]Amazon.com: Outing Yourself: How to Come Out as Lesbian or Gay to Your Family, Friends, and Coworkers: Michelangelo Signorile: Books[/ame]

Do you know them? What do you think? Do you know others?

Anna Karenina. Made me realise a bunch of 19th century hetero Russian aristocrats were fundamentally no different from me. Big step in my self-acceptance and my acceptance of others.

There's a book called "How To Be A Happy Homosexual". It has some helpful stuff in it. I think the author is Terry Sanderson, but I'm not 100% sure.

On the whole, I'm not into self-help books. This one however has an interesting look at gay life or certain aspects, effects of these aspects and how to deal with them.

I never had to read any, my family was very accepting. I have a gay nephew and helped him when he wanted to come out.

Ugh, fuck that self-help bullshit.

Queer Lit in general is much more exciting.

Actually, i'm really not into self-help books. I agree, i think it's bullshit.
Yet, in this specific case, it might answer some questions... I dunno...
or maybe I just need to speak with a gay guy...
