According to the Mayo Clinic, anyone who's a "boomer" should be tested for Hep C. If you haven't, best that you do.

I got tested a couple weeks ago and am clear.

Not a "boomer", but why is this generation supposed to have such a large risk of having Hepatitis C?
Recreational drug use (not joking). In some cases, blood transfusion before blood was tested for HCV or tattooing.

I've heard about this before, but I think it was Hep B they were talking about and not Hep C.

Hepatitis B (HBV) is transmitted primarily via sexual contact. Hepatitis C (HCV) is transmitted by blood and body fluids.

In the case of boomers, some of the experimentation with IV drug use and cocaine snorting seems to be the risk factor.

We're seeing increases in MSM in both HBV and HCV. The HBV increases are connected to barebacking. The HCV is more of a mystery. When I was in school, we were told that HCV wasn't sexually transmitted. Now, we believe that some cases are sexually transmitted however it's difficult to distinguish whether the HCV transmission occurred from blood or via semen.

I've been tested for Hepatitis C, negative.

I've taken the Hep A and B vaccination.

I'm taking prEP and get tested every three months.

So, I'm super clean.

Bumping this because of an experience I´d like to share.

A friend called me a month ago to tell me he got tested for Hep C and he was in the grey zone.
Went for a test myself and turned out not to have it (or anything else I tested for) and later my friend´s second test also came up negative.

So much for doing rice drag without make-up!
