Anyone else watching Boots on Netflix?
I don't usually mention programs we find engaging or or interesting, but we are really enjoying this series because of the development of characters and the often outrageous antics in US Marines Boot Camp, set in the closeted 1970's.
It is based on the actual experiences of someone who lived it...( and likely a few other stories from others who went through it as well).
The episodes carefully builds out characters as the series progresses and there is a tautness in the dark comedy moments that makes it so different from the usual homo fare.
I give it 5 Boots out of 5
