He just did an interview on Friday Night with Jonathon Ross... Was quite funny, actually. Miles funnier than Ali G.
 
Congratulations Sacha Baron Cohen!!!!! If you guys haven't read yet, this weekend's box office here in the U.S. had a HUGE upset. Most people thought Santa Clause 3 or Flushed Away would debut at Number One but.....NOPE! "Borat" cleaned up with $26 million and, get this, it only played in 837 theatres!!!! $26 mil in 837 theaters-that's beyond insane! I saw it Friday night and I almost shit myself and cried my eyes out at the same time LOL!!! I thought it was brilliant and I'm glad Mr. Ali G is finally getting the recognition he deserves. :=D: ..|
 
Ok 3 words: Nude Wrestling Scene. If he doesn't get an award for that, then we have a problem. That's what I call acting. I'd like to see an A-list star in Hollywood try to pull that off and make it as believable is this was.

Damn ingnorant college-going, yuppies-in-trainig, Nativists! I hope they realize they are laughing at their dead grandparents or their possible immigrant mothers and fathers.

Mr. Cohen has no respect for his background or (more importantly) the backgrounds of others. What has a Kazakh ever done to him? No I do not have ties to Central Asia but I can certainly imagine and relate, somewhat. Finding this "clever" and/or "hilarious" as a nation, with the state of the world today, seems uncaring and imperialistic. Thank you.

Oh man, just saw it tonight.. That was the funniest movie i've seen in years, possibly ever. I was cackling out of my seat.
 
People, such as Green_Man_007, are clearly misguided as to the intent of his comedy. What makes it so funny is not so much how offensive it is, as how he so deftly exposes peoples' own prejudices.

Well, to some of us, it is refreshing to enjoy comedy that isn't politically correct, and doesn't have the distractor of walking on eggshells. It is about time we saw some edgy comedy on the big screen.

Don't take yourself too seriously, you just might laugh.

My husband and I saw this movie last night and I have laughed harder and enjoyed my Monday night sitcoms more than this disapppointing movie!:zzz:

NO I was not offended...could care less about that issue.
It just wasn't funny to me nor my husband.

We were kind of surprised to see that we were the youngest in the theater. There were about 7 straight couples that were in the age range of 60-70 in attendance!:confused:
It was all day matinee/free popcorn night so that Is the reason we went plus all the reviwers raving about it.
YAWN we were very let down by this moronic film!](*,)

Exactly what I thought... My god ! this movie is the worst thing that could happen to the american industry of tourism..... THEY shoul sue him, not Kazakhstan !!!... :badgrin:

... I just saw it, an I laughed a LOT.... OK I'm american... (pause)...NOT !.... but I guess you have to be intelligent to laugh about yourself... I'm happy the movie is a grrrreat success in America, so I know american are not all of them crazy people....:rolleyes:

...I can't wait for the "Bruno" movie...:cool:
