If he's talking about "braces", he can't really 'leave them at home'. They're literally glued to his teeth. I think that's why he has to wait to see his orthodontist to have them taken off.

If he means a "retainer", then yes he could take that out at will.

For the OP, do you have any sore spots in your mouth from the ends of your wires or the bracket ties? You should avoid oral if you have ANY open sores in your mouth. Also, if your wires and ties are bothering you, they might bother your partner.

Do you have any 'behind the teeth' hardware (sublingual arches, kickers)?? Those might also be a problem.

If your hardware is only on the front of your teeth and you are COMPLETELY sore free, you probably won't have a problem. His cock should be protected by your lips since you won't ever be putting your teeth on his cock.

I thought the same thing until I talked to my dentist and she told me that a lot of orthodontists will allow you to make payments. I was working to pay my way through college when I got mine. Needless to say I was anything but rich.

I had my braces on for 3 years and made payments over that time. There wouldn't have been any other way for me, but I was determined.

I know healthcare is handled differently in Canada, so I'm not sure if orthodontists operate the same as here in the States. Ask your dentist if they can refer you to someone who will work something out with you. You might be surprised.

Even though it made money pretty tight, I'm very glad I did it.

I had braces for 27 months and can't imagine anyone having to wear them for six years. You definitely need to see a local orthodontist. I engaged in oral while wearing braces. Never had a problem.
