Damn... :\

Guess I know what I'm listening to tonight before bed.

*goes off to find his copy of Haha Sound*

It's just such a shock, I've been listening to Broadcast since before The Noise Made By People and I had no idea that she was even sick.

I had no idea either, but then I haven't really been keeping up with the band since Haha Sound, though I'm not entirely sure why not since I was a big fan at one point.

I suppose now I'll reacquaint myself with their older work, and check out their more recent stuff--just wish it was under better circumstances :\

I was listening to an australian interview with her just last week where she excitedly talked about finally finishing the upcoming album...

I agree. How sad and shocking. Broadcast is a brilliant band - the perfect combination of art rock and pop. Trish had the most incredible voice.

If the new material gets released, listening to it will be bittersweet. I wish I had seen them perform live.

*sigh* how sad.

It's so sad she died so fast and so young. It seems like they announced she had pneumonia one day and she passed two days later.

I really love her work with Broadcast.

Broadcast Re-presses

Broadcast have their long-out-of-print LPs made available again through Warp Records. 'Work And Non Work', 'The Noise Made By People', 'HaHa Sound', 'Tender Buttons','The Future Crayon' and 'Broadcast and The Focus Group Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age' are all shipping this week.

In addition to the re-presses, we have got 'Microtronics Volume 01' from Broadcast also released on Warp Records, a limited 3" CD from 2003 original made for sale on the group's tour of the same year, available to order on the store too.
