Bryan Singer’s ex-assistant details their “traumatizing” sexual relationship in bombshell new report

Disgraced film director Bryan Singer was just hit with a fresh wave of abuse accusations.

This time, it’s his former assistant, Blake Stuerman, who says the Bohemian Rhapsody director victimized and traumatized him while they were in a years-long relationship together in an essay published by Variety.

This predator is called out again! He needs to be LOCKED UP!

No real story, the guy was 18 and seemed to know what he was getting into.

Maybe there should be a movement started under the moniker #NotMeToo and nominations come from all corners of Twitter.

Although abuse is a real issue in society, the presumption that all who cry "Wolf!" are victims and innocent is patently false and should be condemned as a rush to judgment.

Consider the allegations against Singer, and the cry for him to be "locked up." The society has laws that do just that, and can reach to lofty societal levels, e.g. Epstein, Cosby, & Weinstein (NOT a law firm), but the evidence is prima facie insufficient, else Singer would BE locked up.

Whether Singer is or is not some Leave It To Beaver icon of domestic chastity or not, his accuser in this case has little more credibilty that a common gold-digger. The linked article salaciously serves him up as having been "barely 18," when he flew to meet Singer. Yet he did, and nothing about their ensuing affair depicts him as either innocent, naive, coerced, or even put upon. He, to almost all onlookers, appears as someone who made a deal with the devil, so to speak, and now wants to exploit it or merely get revenge. Sordid business.

Stop criminalizing age gaps in relationships. This goes for straight or gay. There is an ancient imbalance of wealth and power that time creates, which has always resulted in pairing the young with the older. In times past, the young were literally sold into marriages. Today, and in times past, others eagerly make the bargain for both social security and financial benefit. If done so with eyes wide open, no story.

The guy was of age and used sex to help him have a career in Hollywood.

It is a story that has happened over and over. As long as he did it willingly - not directly or indirectly pressured into it - it was his choice.

He is just coming forward now to try and get more attention and maybe a sympathy job.

This story irks me...kid was 18...sorry.

That link s a VERY selective truncated version of the full story that was published.

Relationship was FOUR YEARS and then things went south...sounds like 99% of ever other relationship...sorry it didn't have a fairytale ending but not worth trying to destroy someone over.

Yeah where there is smoke there is fire and if Singer crossed the line legally he deserves the consequences for those bad decisions but I was actually impressed by the due diligence that was outlined in the full story to ensure that Singer did NOT cross that line.

What's really criminal was how his shit movies made so much money. Imagine if they had a good director... the movies might have been classics.

Yeah let's not rush to judge a guy who's got multiple accusations of sexual abuse, clearly he's a stand-up citizen and we wouldn't want to misidentify him as a monster. In today's episode of "What's a rich white guy gotta do to get some condemnation?"

Hmm, I wonder if there are any clues in his early work, pointless scenes of underage near-nudity that contribute nothing to the narrative like is usually the case with these totally-not-guilty producers. Oh well, not like 20 years of accusations of the same exact thing have any merit whatsoever.

Did we read the same article? It is about multiple millionaire powerful men passing around young 18yo men that are from broken homes and using them for their bodies and then discarding them along their path to more millions.

Having been fucked by Hollywood players in the distant past and having made real money doing so and having also known more than a few guys who did the same, I can tell you that all of us knew exactly what we were doing and why we were doing it. Whether or not we got what we wanted is another question. The two guys I know who became kept boys after having been promised a career that never materialized weren't happy, but one of them left with a Porsche, and both of them experienced a life they never would have had on their own. It's only a problem if that's the only thing you know how to do.

And the same events could be young men, without morals or ethics, willing to prostitute themselves, straight or gay, to rich gay men who valued youth and beauty just as much as rich straight men do, and willing to pay to have it. Onlookers deem them well-paired, exploiters and those who attend them.

As for passing them around, that also plays into the reading of the events as the young being little more than call girls for gays ultimately.

Blaming it on broken homes is an enabling rationale that unjustly puts the thumb on the scales and removes accountability or agency from those who have reached a majority and have made decisions that simply aren't as naive or desperate as their defenders would argue. A good many simply pursue it because they have the looks, lack the taboos, and don't have any ambition or work ethic.

I agree 100% with everything quoted. Took the words right out of my... um... fingers on keyboard.
