Hey guys.

My PC is completely packed with movies and series. I want to burn them on Blu Ray DVDs, since they can contain so much stuff. But I don't know how to.

I mean, can I use NERO? I have version 7. Or do I need a different program?

isn't bluray discs are too expensive at the moment?
over here each disc is over $25 compare to blank dvd is only 50 cent.

First: do you have a Blu-ray burner?

Second: a good program for burning Blu-ray is ImgBurn. Nero 7 should work fine though, just make sure you are current with updates.

Third: like Telstra stated, they aren't cheap, especially if you buy in a store. You can go online and get them under 10 dollars per disk, though, that still isn't as cheap as a DVD-R.

i think the future might be portable harddrives, flash cards, memory cards ... etc.
They are getting cheaper and cheaper.

I still find dual layer dvd rather expensive and the burning speed sucks.
Single layer dvd wins at the moment. No one in Aust is using bluray yet.

You can buy a 1.5TB hard drive and case for less than US$150 at the moment.

Single layer Bluray discs carry 25GB and cost around US$10. 1.5TB of Bluray discs would cost about $600.

As you can see, hard drives are by far the cheaper option, plus they are faster and will probably last longer. At that price, you can keep 2 copies of your material (one for backup) at half the price of using BluRay.

That is true too, harddrives are becoming very cheap, and now that 1TB hard drives are wonder down under the $100 mark (US), it really is the cheapest way to go.

Dual layer DVD's here aren't that expensive, but yes the write speed on them are a bit annoying.

my view on bluray, unless the price is similar to blank dvds, it have a future.

dvd is good enough for movies anyway.
