I just started using burts bees lip balm. I love it, and its all natural! its worth the extra money. but i wonder, does getting the beeswax hurt the bees? or is it just like collecting honey? this is probably a pretty blonde question (story of my life) lol

Luka, I can assure you that, apart from a bit of smoke inhalation, no bees were hurt during the making of your lip balm, There living quarters, bee nurseries and other communal domestic facilities were destroyed yes, but the bees remained unharmed.

lol, thank goodness, i usually throughly check out products to make sure they arent tested on animals, but i didnt this time. lol, thanks:)

ha, i just read the lip balm label and it says, Not Tested On Animals, lol

They have to use teeny tiny Q-tips to get the wax from their ears. As long as they are careful it doesn't hurt. I just read about a place a few days ago that got shut down because the Q-tips kept going in too far, and deafening the bees. :(
"what the fuck happened to our nursery!?!"
"calm down deer."
"NO!"
"dear..."
"NO I WON'T CALM DOWN"
"dear"
"who the hell do they think they are, I just got hte nursery ready for junior and here they come and take it away form us! I'm sick of this!"
"calm down dear...."
