Exactly!!!

I hate drinking at clubs specifically for that reason. Everything is soo bloody expensive!! Not fair! I say we should all go have some drinks before hand on the cheap, and then only get one or two at the clubs to keep us going.

That's an oldie .... done the email rounds here for years .... which probably explains the cheap price.

Why only $3.00? Don't they know poofters have disposable income?

And others commenting on the price of a Bacardi Breezer in Meekatharra, Western Australia.

The docket is from a hotel, not a club. It is dated 14 Oct 2002 - over 4 yrs ago! Even the phone number as shown is very antiquated (Australia has not had 3 digit area code and 6-digit phine numbers for about a decade. It looks like someone had a meal there, and purchased the drinkwith his meal, no doubt from the bottle shop connected to the hotel.

Today from bottle shops in Australia 275ml Bacardi Breezers are about $A3 ($US2.40).

No idea how much in a waiter service restaurant, about double, I guess.

Actually, in Western Australia we do still have telephone numbers like this in the sticks.

I'm only slightly amused by this docket, as the fact is that queer people do get bashed really badly in places like Meekatharra. And when I say badly, you know I'm telling you that they don't mess around up there. Those people literally drink 'til they drop, do drugs and petrol regularly, and when they fight, they hit each other with 4x4's. They are a world away...

Booze is cheap in PR, and is only half a world away ;-P

I bought a bottle of rum for US$5.00 (750ml). I think you can buy a six pack of breezers for that much, or less...

BTW the Bacardi Plant is in PR. They give tours and free tasting.

And the drinking age is 18...
