C64 emulator now available for iPhone

Sweet! The ever-present, virtual joystick is cool. I don't think I like any of the games, though. :(

And...its gone. The developer didn't plug a hole that enabled users to activate a portion of code that violated the app store TOS. Apple told them to resubmit with the hole plugged, which they're doing.

I was excited until..

Unfortunately, Apple has pulled the C64 Application from their store as it was discovered by some users that it was possible to enable the Basic program through the interface. We have now fixed the issue and our application has been re-submitted for approval by Apple.

We thank you all for your support and fingers crossed we hope to launch again over the next few days.

Hopefully it will get approved or go over to Cydia.

Apple will re-approve it. This was one of those apps that was in approval hell, and they caught shit for it.

This was the developer's fuck-up, not apple's. (they were told explicitly this functionality needed to be removed, because it violated the app store TOS)

I know. Apple has also been questioned for removing the google apps on the app store and the FCC even had to get involved with that. Apple is kind of under the spotlight now with accepting or rejecting apps so they need to think twice before they reject apps now. As long as the developer for this app removes the violation than apple should accept it.

They did announce for this day (Wednesday) that they would halt all applications in review to make some changes in the app store and other things as well. So Thursday they should be back to accepting and reviewing apps.

The C64 was my first-ever computer experience! We had one game, which cost like 50 bucks or something (i'll clarify that with my Dad!) and it took a half hour to load off cassette!!
