Why is she releasing an album including 3 separate cds when one buys cds anymore?

](*,)

I will admit I do buy cds, and I will until they stop making them. However, its been reported that there are only 5 to 6 on each cd. So unless the songs are really long, why should there be 3 separate cds? Anyway, why should I complain, because I'll be the first one to buy it LOL

It's kinda cool though. The first cd is slow jams, the second is crunk, and last is house and freestyle music.

Its called 'Fantasy Ride'. It will be out in August. The first single is another song with Ludacris called "High Price". Wikipedia describes it as "Ciara singing in an opera-style tone and with a Crunk beat". Sounds interesting...

Moe, is Christina Aguliera one of the singers on your list? Cuz she most def. oversings.

I think it's an innovative way to sell physical records again. Sure you can download the 3-CD set illegally, but this is a truly different experience and concept that I hope works.

I mean why go to the store to buy a CD with 12 tracks in a simple jewel case when you're just going to rip it for you iPod? You can just as easily buy from Amazon or iTunes and usually get bonus tracks and the digital booklet right off the bat. With Ciara's concept, she is offering a different and intriguing experience for CD purchasers. I am excited and will definitely be picking this up from my nearby music shop.

I don't like the idea of 3 seperate Ciara Cds full of useless filler.

And yes singing and dancing is wonderful and great. But too much of it as with anything can become excessive and very annoying.

I don't get why you're discussing it here if she's a filler artist and dances too much. That's her as an artist, she's a performer. You seem to have nothing but negativity for her.

not necessarily, if i went to an opera that only lasted 4 minutes i'd be highly upset. i think my generation has too much technology at our disposal and as a result sometimes we can't enjoy one thing for more than 30 seconds without being bored or annoyed. i've been to 2-hour dance shows that were neither boring nor excessive.

Speak the truth! So true. I really like your perspective. Technology is a driving force really in people not enjoying things-- they can so easily replace it and they do. I wish people would stop moving for a minute and try to enjoy the good moments in life.

LOL Well I will make that list, Moe:
Christina A.
Celin Dion
Mariah Carey (a little sometimes)
Whitney

Yeah my tolerance and patience was developed early. As a kid if I did something wrong my mother would make me sit and watch the Lifetime Channel with her for up to 5, 6 hours. After living through that there are few things that can bore me. I think our generation is terribly spoiled. Imagine if we took all these kids back a few years when they had to get up to change the channel. Then a few years back when there were only two channels. Then a few centuries back when a child's "entertainment" was a book by the fireplace. Some of us wouldn't survive past the "not having a remote control" era.

I seem to have come up in a similar background as you!!! Sure I had SuperNintendo, but as a child, I had to manually change the CD, turn the channel, find the dictionary, read the book...etc. Nothing was effortless. I detest the present with its ease of living. I recently read a book called "Feed" which is about the future, when these trends continue. People have computer chips embedded into their brains at childhood, which allows them to chat (similarly to AIM) without speaking; you can shop, send messages and the like. Eventually the world starts to deteriorate and people die from the synthesizes meats and foods produced. It's an interesting read and possible warning for the future.

Back to Ciara, she partnered with Lil' John earlier this year to release "That's Right." However, I had not heard any news on her since then...until I heard "High Price." For her, the sound is different; however, as someone said earlier, it is a weak falsetto as opposed to Opera. Anyway, it would be interesting to hear her sing that song live and not butcher it, if she does sing it.

I have to agree with Ciara's coasting on her dancing talents. At least Chris Brown tries to sing more. However, there are a couple of clips where she sings Promise on a few shows and she does the song justice. That's the only time I've seen and heard her sing live though.

As far as the beats being innovative in High Price, it sounds like Oh Part II. Don't get me wrong, the song overall sounds like it's fresh and new when it is combined with her singing, but it does not seem drastically different from the aforementioned Goodies track.
