Cartoon Network REVAMPS the "ThunderCats" (Oh brother)

^ I think this more of an origin story. And they will eventually have the emblems branded on them. If you look they have empty red circles where they will go. At this point they are just a group of survivors. They are not yet a team and they havent even all come together. So they are not truly thundercats. Thundercats are who they will become.

Well, following your logic (if that is in fact what they are doing), then that makes it even more confusing/stupid.

If you are saying this is an "origin story", then why are the "New Thundercats" already at the Tower of Omens? Why are they allies with the Cats? And why/how does the Tower of Omens even exist?? If you are true fan and followed the original, the Thundercats didn't even know the lost Thunderians existed. They were not royal, they were more like peasants who were ordained by Lion-O. The Tower of Omens was not on Thundera, it was just built on Third Earth as a way for the Cats to have a wider area of protection/communication/settlement.

So, either this is an origin story and should start from the BEGINNING and do it the right way...or, if not, it should not claim to be an origin and it should just totally go in a completely different direction than the original....because as of now, things are just not adding up. ](*,) #-o

Calm down please. I'm not saying its THE origin story. As in consistent with the original. Obviously that have made major changes here. I meant it is an origin story within the context of this updated version.

I absolutely hated Thundercats, and this looks like it could be an improvement.I'm in.
The new Voltron on the other hand...

But we shall see tomorrow night, if things get better and the storyline makes a little more sense.

Ok, so the story started to make a little more sense since last't night episode. Some of my questions were answered:

2) Why does Lion-O look skinnier than Cheetarah?
He, for some reason, looks more buff now...
5) Where is Snarf's voice...?? His voice wasn't really that annoying in the old show. I would rather him be able to respond instead of looking like a deaf/mute. That's very cheesy if you ask me, and yes he looks like something from Avatar or Last AirBender or Pikachu or something.
Ok, so we found out that yes Snarf can talk...he said "snaaaarf" and he mumbled some other stuff which resembled the English language.

Something about this storyline just doesn't seem consistant within the new storylione itself, and it also doesn't remain true to the original. (for example, none of them have the Thundercats emblem on their person; also, they refer to themselves as "Cats", but when Lion-O raised the sword to blast Mumm-Ra, he said "Thundercats HO!!"----well which is it? Are you Cats or are you Thundercats? [And how does he even know what to say, noone ever taught him what "line" to use; they made it seem like that was his first time seeing the sword/experiencing it's powers]. Ok, so now when they were captured by the "sailor creatures"....Lion-O says "I command you to release me, I am Lion-O, Lord of the Thundercats. Ok, well who told them they were Thundercats, how do we know this---because from the beginning of the show they were just refered to as Cats.

I remember the old cartoon network. How far it's fallen since then..

I've been watching now with some enjoyment the new series. I don't miss the talking Snarf at all and the animation is good. I am somewhat disappointed in the writing, I mean did we need yet another bad rehash of Moby Dick? The series seems to be one with two sets of writers, the creators writing the main story arc of the Thundercats/Mum-ra and the Sword/Book of Omens. Then different writers writing the filler/secondary story arcs. The main arc is great, the others suck.

I liked the latest story with Lion-o entering the Book and seeing the history of the Thundercats but given the character's performance to date, i sort of expected him to wake up and the only thing he remembers is that "i had a girlfriend" LOL

I think it should be an hour long. It is way too short. And a little more progress should have been made as far as making them official Thundercats. Their little red emblems looks so stupid being blank.

Old THundercats is still way way better
