I'm so sorry you are feeling down. I've never really had the opportunity to type direct to one of your threads. Please stick around you are an assett to this place and it's really good to have a womans perspective on many subjects. I've found the atmosphere changes from day to day and I miss those that leave, equally newcomers have a lot to offer and they are doing so.

All communities change otherwise they would stagnate. If we don't like the direction they are going we can either speak out, ignore it, or leave. At the moment I ignore the posters who type rubbish to avoid bumping their thread hoping it goes the same way as most of mine, rapidly relegated.

I hope you manage to sort out your personal probs but that is perhaps not best discussed here.

I agree with you, there have been too many fights. Bitchy little cliques have formed with the egos to match. It's gotten to the point where old timers like ourselves are made to feel barely welcomed. There are times that I wonder if its really worth spending time here anymore. But I keep coming back because there are a few good souls who always make me smile. I cannot help but think of Bradlee's "ebb and flow" observation.

I'm sorry to hear that you are at a crossroads and I'll send along my well wishes to you. Hang in there beautiful, life does go on.

It is sad when people who you’ve come to appreciate and interact with leave. People change as well as the content of message boards. I am glad you will stay, as I enjoy your funny and witty posts. Those of us that stay can work on making this board what we would like it to be and we can continue to have fun and learn things.

When I read posts such as these, I feel sad too because I feel like I've missed out on something and wish I had found this place a long time ago. But at the same time I'm glad I found it when I did because I've made friendships here, have had fun here, have gotten wonderful advice here and yeah, I've shed a few tears as well.

Okay, a lot. I've never in my netlife come across a place that's brought out so much emotion. Emotion I didn't even know I had.

That's just part of the whole experience and why I like this place so much. There are still good people here and we have fun, for the most part. Although I can't compare now to then like you guys can because I've only been here for about 2 or 3 months. So in my case, I can't miss what I never knew. But yes, people change, communities change and things move on.

I just feel sad for everybody's losses

I haven't been too active lately, busy with travel and such, so I was saddened by the recent losses. They may, or may not, be back, and I do, and don't, understand what was behind the departures.

I'm so sorry to hear of problems in your marriage, though. Your hubby is doubtlessly very important to you and flesh-and-blood hits the heart in ways that bytes on the Internet can't. If you care to share what's happening perhaps we can be of help.

i think Bradlee has been back

he has said a few things to me mostly short comments in the last few months and I have an idea of what led up to his leaving, but the DS thing seems to be the last straw

I know he said he may be back and I think he will be

I dont want to get into the specifics but I think that time will bear out for JUB in a good way.

Until then we should all do what we usually do... make our own fun and enjoy our friends who are still here.

Ruby, i'm sorry for the anguish. i've been out of hot topics for a few months now because i had noticed the change in mood and needed a break. i found solstice in the tech and entertainment forums so i didn't actually leave. i had no idea that hooddie, or bradlee, or arnell were gone. i'm sorry they left. i left for several months a few years ago and came back because someone asked me to post in a specific thread. that got me back to posting on jub. so maybe if you give them some time and you are still in contact with them outside of jub you can ask them to come back in a little while. i understand the need to get away, but it need not be forever. i hope they come back, i thought they'd be here forever.
