Characters you love but would hate as real people

I love the character of Ziva on NCIS, but I wouldn't tolerate her in real life. Shes arrogant and rude and a torturer. (Contrast Tony, who's just a dead loss in every way but looks, or McGee, who I like and would love to be friends with.)

I also think Bruce Campbell's character on Burn Notice is a terrific character, and Bruce plays him very well, but I wouldn't hang out with him. I choose my friends from among the at least marginally ethical.

What characters do you love on shows or in movies, but would not want to know in real life?

One show I love because of all the subtle gay overtones (and it's hilarious) is "Two and a Half Men". I love the character Charlie that Charlie Sheen plays but could never tolerate anyone like that in real life. In fact, I've met people like him who walk around all day with a drink in their hand and are promiscuous at the drop of a hat. Even the character Alan, played by Jon Cryer, is too much of an anal retentive, drama queen to tolerate in real life. In the show, they are suppose to be two straight guys but they certainly act gay in many respects. Love the show and they are both great actors but I could never be around people very long who were actually like their characters.

The most fucked-up characters are always the most fascinating to watch, but would be horrible to hang with in real life.

"Q" from Star Trek:TNG...so he's a bit of a mischief maker. When you've got omnipotent power and an IQ of 2005,you get bored easily. But hey, when the universe can be your playground, things happen.

Of course, popping in any time of day or night causing god knows what, taking you god knows where does tend to grate on the senses when you haven't had your first cup of coffee,or need to get some project done or get to sleep.Or getting busy!(!)(In my case,of course it would be playing solotaire)!!oops!

Homer Simpson. Love him on TV but frankly, he'd irritate the shit out of me in real life!

HAHA

Michael Scott, from The Office, and my personal (s)hero, Sue Sylvester.

Definitely Sue Sylvester. Somehow, I get the feeling that people like that exist in the real world to some extent.

I love the entire cast of 'Will and Grace' but if they were real people, I'd pull a drive-by with a rocket launcher on them.

I love the entire cast of 'Glee' but if they were real, I'd burn down the shcool with them locked in it. Well, except Mercedes. I love her.

Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf
One Life To Live's Todd Manning, Dorian Lord, Christian Vega, and Jessica Buchanan
Days Of Our Lives Nicole Walker
True Blood's Tara Thorton
As The World Turns' Reid Oliver

Yes to all of that.

If we're going to go into soap characters then:

All My Children: JR Chandler and Annie Lavery
One Life to Live: Robert Ford, David Vickers, Blair Cramer, and the late Stacy Morasco
General Hospital: Spinelli, Jason Morgan, Sonny Corinthos, and Carly Jacks
Young and the Restless: Adam Wilson, Phyllis Newman, and Billy Abbott
