You come out of nowhere, just when I think I'm over you
It's like you're right here, but when I try to reach out you disappear
The irony is that you've stayed although you left me babe
And you're busting through my mind, digging up old memories
You’re the ghost in my heart, with something more to prove to me
I don’t know what it is, so I try to chase you away

We were young and fresh and times were good
I had it good...
What happened then I couldn't say
You disappeared, and let me wait
Our time was up, you let me go
Why does your face haunt me so?
I can’t bear to recall what made you look so good to me

My eyes are clenched shut, so I can squeeze you out of my life
I’m trying so hard to see through your shape into the dark
