Meh... I've taken part in a few JUB conversations recently but after I became a director at Titan and landed a bunch of mainstream film projects, my time became pretty full. I don't have the time to sit at my desk and debate Britney Spears and poop videos and frankly, I got a bit tired of the same "cut/uncut," "bi/gay," "should I get my straight best friend drunk to have sex with him" posts and just... stopped coming by.

When I have something I want to post because I think people will like it (those road trip videos) or I see something here that I want to comment on, I will. I read here often but seldom post because I don't see much that interests me enough to get very involved.


Maybe it is also that I am disinterested in the porn industry, which leaves me little else to read in your posts.

Which is why I don't tend to post porn here anymore. Unless your idea of porn is men lip syncing to Kylie Minogue songs.

Oh... this isn't a film, it's a book. I directed a motion comic trailer to help promote it but it's not a film. Yet... it's great and I think it would work beautifully as one.
 
I'm intrigued by Christopher Rice...

He's cute, he's gay, and his mother (Ann Rice) was the author of the Vampire Diaries/Lestat - which I loved.

Unfortunately I haven't read any of Christopher's work... yet.

I'm intrigued by book trailers. They seem to be a newer marketing tool but I find them great. They build an excitement for the book. I wonder how they'd work for authors who don't have Christopher Rice's profile.

Great film Jasun, it definitely sent tingles up my spine and made me think "when I get a job I'll have to buy that" which is what it was supposed to do I assume :)
 
Great work Jason. I have three of Christopher Rice's books staring right at me, and I have tried to read them, I really have, but I just can't help comparing him to his mother. She is one skilled writer. Too bad she has left the genre.

Tonight I will try reading The Snow Garden again.
 
his books are totally different than his. She's a great descriptive writer but I think he tells more engaging and intriguing stories. He tells better mysteries.

My favorite book of his is a tie between the new one Heavens Rise and an older book Light Before Day.
