Clear Internet Service

I am thinking about getting Clear Internet Service for $25/mo. For the last few months I have been using the library’s connections to get on line, but I am tired of it. I am wondering if any one has had good or bad experiences with Clear Internet? Also their site say “data useage unlimited”, does that mean I can do anything I want online? Their little info boxes say I would be able to check email, and surf the net. Would I be able to download torrents & things and watch Youtube still?


As you can tell I don’t really know much about computers. I don’t want to enter a contract and not be able to do the things I use the internet for. Here is their website if it helps.

It's not great, but it works well most of the time. It's fast enough for video online.

You don't need a contract, though. They do month to month.

I fucking went on dating sites and porn sites when I was at a coffee shop in NC. But I diddn't go "OH LOOK AT ME LOOK I MADE THE SCREEN BRIGHTER SO EVERYONE CAN SEE MY GAY PORN". I did try to get in a spot where I'd be like lessly to be spot. But if someone saw it they saw it.

I've had Clear for a few months..

It has been a major disappointment.

I have internet at home, mobile, and the home phone.

For weeks now, if I use the phone, or someone calls me, the internet drops. WTF?

Friday they had towers going out all over town. No mobile for me for 10 hours, and for 4 hours no home service. Couldn't call them, 'cuz the phone was out! Had to walk to the nearest office to hear, "we're working on it". Arghh!!!!

I called them and they said their service area goes around me like a horseshoe. If I lived in any direction by a few blocks (but one) I could get it. It doesn’t sound all that great anyways though.

I have service in Gresham, but not in Troutdale.

This sounds like a wiring problem. Although one that shouldn't be happening anymore. Check it twice from your site, and if you don't see any problem call them about it ..
