Cleveland International Film Festival 2021

The Cleveland International Film Festival runs from April 7 through April 20. It is online and not in person this year, same as last year. There are 116 feature films and 182 shorts. The shorts are usually grouped several together. Films are $10 per film and can be viewed online. Last year I ordered a few films and they were put into my email inbox and I had 48 hours to view them before they disappeared. It worked for me. You don't have to travel to Cleveland to see them, but I believe that you do have to be in the U.S.

I watched "Edge of Seventeen" and "Gypsy 83" which were lumped together for one ticket price and were a little over 3 hours. Both were good, but not spectacular, and were about a young guy reaching adulthood in Sandusky, Ohio as well as about a young woman friend in Gypsy 83. They were in the Outlook group of movies which include LGBTQ movies. I also saw "One-Way to Moscow" which was also good and was in Swiss-German with English subtitles and was not LGBTQ. I am thinking of ordering "The Dream Horse" and "The Tailor" which are also not LGBTQ. I think that "The Tailor" is in Greek, but will have English subtitles.

The Dream Horse was pretty good and was in Brittish/Welsh so subtitles weren't necessary.

The festival is over. There were over 51,000 movie streamings watched. They figured that an average of 2 people watched each streaming, so there were 102,000 viewers.
