um .. well for me the standard size always did the job. *sometimes* they are a bit tight. but not that much that it becomes uncomfortable.
however if you buy condoms for anal sex you should buy those with a bit thicker rubber (recommend for anal sex) usually labeled "strong". don't ask me for brand names :) but if you have doubts - look for a good (not shady) sex shop, usually the employes have a good knowledge there.
 
I rarely ever top, so I am not really the one wearing them, but when I have I definitely prefer Durex Extra Sensitives, and they are what I carry. They come in a purple/pink swirly box. You have half an inch of girth on me, but they fit just fine. I do not know if Magnums are really necessary, and it is also a lot safer to have a snug fit rather than any slack outside of around the head. The wider the contact area, the less chance of a spill.

As far as quality goes, I am definitely a Durex fan. Their latex just seems so much stronger, while at the same time seeming thinner and stretchier. I do not favor Trojans at all, as every horror story I have heard has involved one. I will personally protest the use, at least, of their 'ultra thin' line, the kind the comes in a baby blue wrapper, for anal sex. I have had one break in me, and just a week after the incident just happened to overhear someone in a chat room saying they had one of the same break. Very fragile latex. I have an inkling Durex is more gay-friendly, and Trojans are more concerned with vaginal endeavors... there is a guy and a girl on the box, after all.

In the end, though, that is mostly voodoo and brand preference wins out. Except Durex definitely smells better, unless you get off on the choking smell of latex.
 
Trojan Magnum for really big guys, any condom brand is fine for normal sized guys and lower.
 
Like, 8+ inches and very girthy is 'big' to me. I've had trouble putting condoms on guys that big, but a magnum should do fine.

Normal guys would probably be medium girth, maybe 7 - 4 inches...they should fit fine in a standard condom. I mean, condoms can actually hold a litre or more of water without breaking...so it should even work for larger guys, but it may be uncomfortable.
 
What size do you use? Actually, it seems like girth is the good determiner of appropriate condom size.
 
Magnum the reg condoms are to small last time i tryed to use one it was to tight and didnt go all the way down the shaft of my penis

I have found a website that I bought condoms from. They come very discreetly in the mail.

I picked and chose my own combination...50 condoms (and I have like 12 different brands and styles), a few lube pillows, all for $30.

I also prefer Durex over Trojan...the trojans just seem...not as slick I guess. For some reason the latex is always cloudy, where durex's are clear. I'm pretty big, and I've never had a problem with the fit on a Durex. I filled one with compressed air once, and it grew big enough to fit two basketballs inside before it blew.

I buy mine on ebay...you can get 12 for like $4 with shipping. And no embarrasing looks in the drug store. ;)
 
Get the glowing condoms. If the guy thinks it's funny and goes with it, he has a sense of humor. If he's somehow put off by it, he's boring and you should take that into consideration if you want to extend a one night stand >_>
