cordless mice and keyboards

Depends on the batteries you use and how long you use them for and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I change the batteries in my mouse about four times a year. In the keyboard it is a lot less, maybe twice a year.

Well said, if you use cheap batteries they last last for shit.

there are cordless mice that have a "charging station".

drop it there over night, or when not at the computer and you are fine

Big Lots, a 'dollar store' we have here has a combo wireless mouse and keyboard for $24 which I was thinking of trying. Probably a total POS, I know.

Ooh its not the batteries that are a problem at times, its getting receiver to pick them up in the first place (at times)

I currently use a wireless Keyboard, but the mouse that came with it was a POS, It kept losing the signal and I had to keep waiting for the stupid thing to sync back up with the receiver

I bought a Micro$oft Arc Mouse which, luckily, has a year warranty.
I'm on the third one now and THIS one works fine and I love it.
It uses 2 AAA batteries so it ought to go a LONG time.......especially since I got into the habit of folding it shut when I shut down.

I have a Logitech. The keyboard seems to run about 10 months on a set of batteries. The mouse lasts around 2 months. That's on Rayovac batteries...one of my local supermarkets puts them on sale for $1 for 4 AAA or 4 AA.

I saw that keyboard at Big Lots, but I can remember the brand. At only $24 I give it a shot.

Update: Target has sale going on with a price of $10. Bought one and it works perfectly and one less tangled wire I have to unravel.

I was hesitant to move on to a wireless mouse and keyboard at first. I don't mind cables, but now that i do have it wireless its makes it so much better (less clutter) and so far i've had it for a couple weeks and seems to work nice.
