Insanity. "Leaders" was a direct quote of you. You can't read, you ignore anything in a post you do not want to see, you seem to exist in some kind of weird vacuum that reality can't touch.

There was no reference to any leaders in the quote you took from me.

The only vacuum here is the one you operate with that is sucking up everything that disagrees with your narrow-minded focus on hate. Get over it.

The Caliphate of Cordoba was conceived with bloodshed, engaged during it's entire existence in bloodshed and ended in bloodshed. A minimum effort in research would tell you that.
But I see you can again not be bothered to actually address the argument. You can not be bothered to present anything factual.

So you deny that it was a great center of learning, with cooperation among scholars of multiple faiths, in peace?

How it was conceived is hardly relevant -- every realm in that period was conceived that way, Muslim or Christian or their neighbors.
I'd bet my "minimum research" in the period is about ten times the volume of your maximum. Tell me -- how many scholars who worked and wrote at Cordoba have you looked into, read their works, again, preferably in the original?

So a separate organization wants to call the proposed prayer space a mosque. Many Muslims will dispute that it can possibly be one, as a mosque to many Muslims (especially Sunnis) has to be a separate building, so that at most this could be considered a prayer hall -- but that's something for them to argue about.

But the building is a community center -- your links say so, even the old one that begins with a lie about its location.

The thing is innappropriate there, though OTOH that's where such a community center is needed. I can even see why they wouldn't want to do it without a prayer hall (or mosque, depending on which strain of Islam and degree of strictness you prefer), since the daily prayers are core to Islam.

But whether or not that makes it offensive, using it as a campaign issue is an indicator that the candidate doesn't have any substance to work with.
