Burger King and PoshMark have thrown themselves into the fray by introducing ads for Pride month.

Why so focused on the sex part and only the sex part of Pride though?

Anyways do you find this kind of thing humorous or more messed up?

I'm not understanding how the burger is focused on the sex part. This kinda feels like you're just looking for something to be uncomfortable about. Maybe I'm missing something?

Choose your bun: top or bottom. Not sure how this is focused on lesbians or trans people.

These corporations condescend to the public 24/7. Not sure what everybody is making such a big deal out of it.

kinda feels like..looking for something to be uncomfortable about

Oh.

By the way, Burger King's beef has been rated one of the worst of all the fast food restaurants.

I'm not uncomfortable about it at all. I find it funny how clueless they are. They think having two top or two bottom buns is somehow doing something. At least PoshMark gave some good info, though people have been having anal for years without needed a tv ad about it.

Also how can you not see it as a sex reference?

I don't see a problem. Of course this is coming from a dude who only cares for sex and finds romance repulsive, so my opinion is biased.

I think it's supposed to represent the different genders not sexual positions. I'd actually he'd my life on it.

I'll show you my whopper if you show me yours.

I about died laughing at the Burger King ad.... two top buns and two bottom buns. :rotflmao:

Found this later on Edge. https://www.edgemedianetwork.com/st...&ad_agency_apologizes_for_pride_whopper_gaffe

I see no reason to take offense. I have to give them credit for trying. It is pretty funny.

The corporate takeover of Pride creeps me out - like The Burger King.

I don't believe it's support at all. Its just a marketing strategy to take more money off a gullible market segment. Whatever happens to be an item circulating in sicial media, they will latch onto, so that buying their product makes you more fashionable.

I think it is still support, even if the main motivation is commercial. I'm never going to eat that shit, regardless of how they advertise it, but if the advertising has the effect of making LGBT seem more accepted (I'm struggling for the right word here, almost said "normal"), then it has to be a positive thing.

10 years ago when the biggest threat was a Christian boycott I would've sang the solo in that chorus, as the political environment heats up and the mildest support can turn into death threats I'm marginally less inclined to be so cynical.

Has anyone looked into how Burger King distributes their political donations?

Walgreens is all rainbow this rainbow that but they donate to conservative republican causes.

It's nice to have all this corporate support during Pride month. But the question is what do they do come July 1 and the rest of the year? If they run rainbow ads in June, but donate large sums to candidates actively campaigning to harm the LGBTQ+ community, I would say that they're being mighty hypocritical.

I guess whatever floats their boats.

What I really appreciate is that Disney has 2000 high paying jobs in Florida on hold because of DeSantis nonsense.

Yeah, I think so too. Whatever their motivation, it is still better than Chick-fil-A.
