It seems that the new Comedy series has set a record for the lowest premiere of a comedy in prime time - ever. With a rating of 0.6/5, the series brought in an audience of less that 350,000 which is disaster to the network. Add this to the already failed shows they have already airing, "Gossip Girl", "Reaper", and "Beauty and the Geek" are all falling fast.
"I am not sure what the network is going to do." Was a statement from an executive producer from the network, who decided to remain decided. "Four failing shows in one season - this is bad bad bad news."
Last night was the biggest night the CW has seen since June. Supernatural, a classic hit had a good rating of 3.8/6 (About 5 Million Viewers) and Smallville actually came in lower than normal for a season premiere of 4.1/9 (About 7 Million Viewers).
Network executives want to pull a few "selected'' shows from air this week, but the President and CEO is reluctant to do so. Joan Ostrand, CEO of CW released this statement, "Its still too early to tell, usually around the third show we can get an idea of the shows audience." The President has been in trouble lately because of the bad moves she made with new shows. She has recently denied production to a "Charmed" spin off and a new series which would have been a knock off of the movie "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."
In 2005, when NBC premiered, 'Celebrity Cook-Off' it was canceled after its second episode with an audience of just less than one million.
Hopefully along with the "Supernatural" and "Smallville", "One Tree Hill" can bring some dignity back to the failing network.
