Definitely on my must see list. I've heard a lot of early Oscar talk for both the male leads in the film too IowaGuy

Both Matthew and Jared have received SAG and Golden Globes awards, so I'm assuming Oscar nominations aren't too far away. I don't know which comes first but I do the SAG awards are usually pretty good indicators of who walks out on the night with a new shiny gold man for their mantlepiece.

SPOILER ALERT!
Dallas Buyers Club was outright depressing, but Leto's character annoyed me. I read a review on AfterElton (big mistake, site is a joke these days) saying Rayon "had to die" because she was "an angel" and "too perfect." There was nothing perfect about his character and she did not have to die. She was a drug addict from a wealthy family, she was inherently flawed just as anyone else is. She did not singlehandedly transform Ron into a "better person"…realizing his own mortality made him jump up and act. It had nothing to do with Rayon. The guy was out for himself, and there were only TWO incidences in which he even seemed to care about Rayon: the first in the supermarket (and one could argue he only did that to get back at his former friend) and the second when she died. That's it. AND the only humanized moment of Ron's is when he allows the two men with AIDS free entrance into the Dallas Buyers Club and he does this in a moment of grief, not clarity. Guy is still an asshole at the end of the movie. Sorry.
