The View is up for 2 major Emmys; Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host. They have never won before.

Barbara says: "If we win, we owe it all to Rosie."
Joy replies: "If we lose, can we blame Rosie?"

Do you think that Rosie has brought The View to Emmy standards or sunk it like the Titanic? She has brought up the ratings, but is that enough to win an Emmy? I think not.

Rosie brought some "zip" to the show, which wasn't there before or since.
She also brought focus to important issues like the first responders, childhood diseases, adoption, foster care systems etc. This focus might have resulted in increased donations and/or moral suport.
She is a staunch liberal and many in show biz (including Emmy voters) share a lot of her views.
The View has been on 9 years I beleive, and nominated each year.
It wouldn't be surprising if they won this year.
Although when they were nominated (before the shit hit the fan) Rosie made it clear that she couldn't attend the awards show because of a prior commitment.

wonder how long it'll be before Trump claims it was due to him?

I'd like the View and it's hosts to win the Emmy yet I don't want Elisabitch to win an Emmy.

If the show wins, Rosie is the reason. She made the show relevant, she made the show entertaining, she made the show watchable, she kept Babs and Elisabot in check.

So much of Star Parker bugged today, but particularly this religious arrogance: When Michael Moore prefaced what he was about to say with "As someone who is born again...", and then Star Parker pounced, "OH!!?" Just when did THIS happen???", totally incredulous that MM could be born again. (He was actually talking about her.)

She's against abortion because after having 4 of them she realized that what she was doing was wrong. She's against gay marriage because family structure is not portrayed like that in the bible.

Also, listening today was a train wreck, IMO. I couldn't hear a DAMN word and I really wanted to hear MM views!

I'm watching it right now, and I agree Star Parker is annoying the FUCK out of me. But at the same time, I guess it's nice to balance out all the liberal co-hosts they've had over the years.

The View has had a variety of guests and guest hosts who represented a wide range of opinions on many topics.
I have yet to see any as obnoxious as Star Parker.
She wasn't interested in what anyone had to say or contribute, she just wanted the exposure as a platform to express her views and beat her own drum.
It's doubtful that she'll ever be invited back (Barbara and Joy had to rein her in too often).
