Demi Moore and her leeches

The stupidity of some people just beggars the imagination. Here's Demi Moore on the subject of leech therapy: according to her having a leech or two "detoxifies" the blood:

"These aren't just swamp leeches though - we are talking about highly trained medical leeches. These are not some low level scavengers - we're talking high level blood suckers."

Highly trained leeches? How do people get through life with their brains so comfortably switched off?

Leeches do have medical uses for circulatory problems since they produce a rather safe (if the leeches are posh) and powerful anticoagulant.
