I don't actually watch Supernatural, but apparently the most recent episode had Castiel declaring that he loved Dean before being trapped someplace else forever. It took eleven seasons and two episodes until the finale but I guess Destiel might be canon now?
There seems to be a lot to criticize about this--the timing (right before Castiel gets "fridged") and Dean failing to say anything back being the main issues. There's two episodes left so I guess things may not end there, especially since Castiel has a history of coming back from the dead. There's still time to end what may have been the longest queerbaiting on a tv show. On the other hand, if they actually do end up together, I'm gonna have to sit down and watch the show (all fifteen seasons of it).
