The guy came hobbling into the courtroom wearing a 'brace' on his lower-right leg and a white sneaker on his right foot. (He wore a black shoe on his left foot.) He also had an enormous back supporting belt wrapped around his waist outside of his shirt.
Here's his case. He was facing west (red car), stopped at a red light. The 'defendant' (green car) was driving north and her light was green:

Now, even though her light was green, there was a stopped car in front of her waiting to turn left (blue car) and another approaching and stopped in order to turn left (yellow car).
The lights changed, the yellow and blue car turned left, and the defendant (who couldn't reverse because of traffic behind her) proceeded straight through the intersection and clipped the front-left fender of the plaintiff's car and dented it.
It's not like the lady ran the red light and slammed into him. They had collided from a standing stop in about a car's length. You certainly can't get up enough speed in that short distance.
The guy didn't even see a doctor until the next day and complained of neck, back, and leg pain. He claimed that he had 3 fractured vertebrae in his neck. He found himself a lawyer (he didn't say, but I suspect it was an ambulance chaser) who refused to take his case.
The judge read his medical reports and said there were no signs of injuries. The guy insisted that it was there. She read, "Neck pain. Back pain. Leg pain. It's there because that's what you told them!"
The case was laughable, really, and I can't imagine anyone believing a single word of his testimony. Oh, and he's now on 'Workman's Comp' and, from what he said, he's trying to get on disability.
Yeah, right.
