So I had physical contact with another guy ( just kissing and touching one another, no anal or even oral sex) about 1.5 months ago, August 22 to be exact. Then I found my bottom lip slightly swollen about 2-3 days ago, and I see something like a pimple there ... it's very close to what I'd consider the oral herpes to look like (based on google searches).

But I googled and it says that oral herpes usually arise by 1-3 weeks and no later than 3 weeks. In my case, over 6 weeks had gone so could it be something else? I did shave about 3 days ago quite aggressively, so could it be a cut/sore from it?

Very very scared.

It's very unlikely that you made it to adulthood without having oral herpes (HSV-1). Most children contract HSV-1 during childhood, usually from other family members through casual contact. From there, the infection hangs out in your nerve endings until you have an unusual immune system event- like a bad case of the flu (ergo the nickname "cold sores"), a stressful event in your life, chemotherapy, etc.

You're taking an event (making out with a guy) and connecting it to something weeks later. The two events are unlikely to be connected. If it is oral herpes, it usually feels weirdly numb but warm and swollen before the cold sore erupts. If you're not feeling those types of symptoms, it may not even be an HSV-1 outbreak.

In the meantime, get plenty of rest, eat healthy and if it is a cold sore and it lasts more than a day or two, you can see your primary care physician to see if they want to prescribe something for it.

Also- it's a good time to get your flu shot.
