  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Did you ever dream of flying? I used to . . .

The game show Divided had a question about top three dreams which were flying, falling, and being chased

I used to have flying dreams. I remember thinking I can levitate / fly around any time I wanted

No flying dreams. I had falling dreams in deep space with stars all around me.

Yes, particularly when I was a child - most likely as a means of escape :) but I have always been an explorer - adventurous.

I was puzzled by how I could know what the treetops and houses looked like from up there until I finally figured out that these views are in our heads from going over bridges and hills.

Kinda strange with me "falling" in space, shouldn't dreams be zero-g?

I loved the flying dreams at night :)

Apparently they are quite usual. I think they mean you want to avoid something, fly away from a situation

I used to have very vivid dreams of flying out of my body. I flew everywhere including into outer space! It was exhilarating but terrifying too. But no more of them, just other dreams and nightmares which I will not discuss in this thread of course.
I’m just about to try and go to sleep right now, but there’ll be no flying dreams.

I've had dreams about floating, but not flying. I'm floating above my body looking down on it.

What about the daytime ones?

Are you insinuating I was taking quaalude's or I was some kinda coke head or something? :grrr:

Never had any daytime flying dreams that I can remember. I had a fear of flying(in planes)when I was younger. It might stem from my need to be in control. I'm still a bit of a control freak, but I'm getting better. I nipped in the bud my flying fears head on with several trips to California. White knuckle terror on the first flight. I thought I was gonna be sucked out the window into one of the engine's and become chop suey  That was it after that...I loved flying. Especially the night time landing over LA and coming back at night to NY. Its like floating around so serene :luv2:

I have had a lot of flying dreams. It could be just a regular situation in my dream, and then all of sudden, I take off flying like some kind of super hero. I really do enjoy the flying part. The funny thing is that I am afraid of heights in real life.

Not really flying... swimming or hopping hundreds of feet up into the air. It doesn't always work when I try.

When I'm almost asleep I 'misstep' it feels like one foot steps into a hole or off a stair where there's one or several steps left at the bottom.

Haven't remembered a dream for ages.
