What's on your menu for dinner tonight? Just finished dinner here and we had succulent white fish fillets in a creamy lemon and cracked pepper sauce, with lightly steamed broccoli and carrots and mashed potato. It looked so good I had to take a pic before devouring it .......

Yummy!

My dinner tonight will be less healthy, but very filling...I'm making my famous 3 meat, 7 cheese & spinach lasagna. Good eats!

Recipe please!!!! Sounds like a wonderful feast for the soul .... doesn't hurt to indulge once in a while! ..|

You're the only other person I've ever known who uses cracked pepper! Does that mean we're engaged or something?

That, my friend, looks and sounds like a VERY appetizing meal! :-)
You certainly know how to cook! ..|
Wow, I could eat that-up right now!!
---

Tonight I'll be cooking home-made Spaghetti Bolognese.. nothing special, but it's nice :)

We had some Orthodox Jewish friends over for dinner, and we couldn't get hold of good kosher meat in our neck of the woods, so we had a spectacular vegetarian frittata, with a salad, followed by a "chocolate pizza": a sort of chocolate brownie base covered with a mountain of strawberries and icecream, and topped with a chocolate mint sauce. Then we had vast libations of tea and coffee. I'm still digesting, and probably still will be tomorrow

Well last night I had my first JUBber over, and I served a hearty vegetable soup made from 100% farmers' market veggies.

We both had several bowls. Yum.

Last night it was chilli and garlic bread but tonight is coq au vin with steamed rice and a green salad. And there is lots of cracked pepper in the coq au vin - guess that means I'm in a relationship. lol

I'm not normally a fish lover, but you sure do make it look good. I would've gone with thin red chili strips on top though. ;)

I took a few short cuts....... (frozen fish in a pack) baked in the oven, mashed potatoes ( from instant potatoes) and green peas( from the can).

Not a delicacy, but good and filling all the same.

Had a hearty student's meal. Milk(protein, vitamins & minerals), cocoa powder(powerful antioxidant), peanut butter(good fat), flax meal(lignan), carlifornia raisins(fibre, vitamins & minerals), & rolled oat(complex carb & fibre). Everything mixed together and eat slowly while listening to brokeback music.

it looks good when i first saw it i thought it was creamy honey mustard chicken but its lemon and fish
maybe we should havea thread where we post pics of food and we can guess what they are

i cant start it people might think im gay or something:lol:

I am going to have a hamberger to which I will add spinach (frozen, these days) and feta cheese. I'll put in on a toasted english muffin with sauted onion, mayo and horseradish sauce. Probably fries and a salad.

That looks really good! I'm having home made bean soup with some French bread.

I´m having pasta (with some homemade pesto), some grilled tofu and a glass of wine.

Lamb Chops on a bed of sliced potato red onion and tomatoes roast in the oven with a white wine and red currant gravy

Chicken curry, aloo gobi and basmati rice. Dessert will be some dark chocolate with marzipan filling.

That does look delicious. You and I are on the same wavelength. I eat broccoli every single day and have for about 4 years now, and for a very specific reason. I was prone to cold sores/fever blisters for the last 25 years. I would get one at least every month or 2. A holistic practioner told me that certain foods (broccoli, cabbage, and brussels sprouts) contain a compound (indole 3 carbinol) that inhibits cold sores and suggested I start eating these foods daily. I started immediately and within 3 months I was cold sore free. In almost 4 years I have had exactly 3 cold sores and they were about 1/4 the intensity they used to be and cleared up in a couple of days rather than a couple of weeks as before.

Now as far as my dinner tonight, I had a big chef salad I made up at home with chicken, ham, and cheddar cheese (and plenty of blanched broccoli of course), a baked potato, and a fresh apple.

I just ordered dinner, so in forty or so minutes I will be feasting on won-ton soup, beef chow-mein, asparagus and chicken in black-bean sauce, and a bit of steamed jasmine rice. Unfortunately, I'm not really hungry and would just as soon retire to my bed with a half-pint of ice-cream... but the Grandmother insists we eat proper dinners.

And ozguy, though your meal looks delish, would you please turn the knife over? It's bugging the hell out of me. The cutting edge of the knife is supposed to face the plate. I know it's petty, but table-settings are a deep-seated psychological issue for me, so I must beg your indulgence. ;)
