Have an appointment booked for Monday with a urologist. Noticed I have light pigment discoloration on head of penis. It's not STD related because I took a urine test.

If this is something that isn't curable, it will ruin my sex life. Having an aesthetic penis is important to me. Thoughts?

I had that once. I was told to shower more and or better.

At the time I had a PA so I leaked a lot.

What is a PA?

Prince Albert.

As far as thoughts go; It's no Scottish tragedy but perhaps you could play the Lady of the piece - albeit in words only.

-Seriously though, get a grip. It's just a bit of skin discoloration and it will happen as you age, particularly if you're prone to such things. I am not. Everything else, sure, but not that, at least not yet. Not for at least another thirty years.

-You could always start hoping to count yourself lucky now that that's all it is, a bit of discoloration. There's considerably worse things that happen to the average dick than a bit of shade change. Which, I'll hasten to point out, is normal. Lots of people have a bit of mottling. Also happens to the insides of the thighs, or so I hear.

Don't go buying any bleaching kits though, you do not want that on your dick.

I had my dick pierced.

Say it like that and most people wince, no matter how beautiful the piercing.

Actually, that's a thought, depending on where the spot is and how large. A piercing through it may make it unnoticeable. Tho if it is just skin shifting color I dunno that the rest of the current hue would stay pristine. If you have siblings, Rex, perhaps try asking them if they've a similar issue.

Or you could always tattoo. Tho even I wouldn't tattoo the head without some sort of lidocaine or outright unconsciousness. It's a thought, though, depending on how much you want the head to stay the same color.

Maybe go with Thynight's suggestion of more washing, but you're not pierced so doubtful that would help. I do know skin discoloration can be part of minor skin 'damage' from long-term rubbing/contact. Do take note of the scare quotes there, it's just doing what skin is supposed to.

The spot wouldn't be on the bit that usually rests against cloth or skin, would it? If so, adjust yourself differently, maybe change underwear style, might go away with time. If it's not from just your genetics there's a good chance a bit of time and careful repositioning should see it fade away.

You can see a urologist but he's probably going to send you to a dermatologist.

Usually these spots turn out to be one of two things:
  1. Normal pigmentation variations
  2. Local reaction to a fungal overgrowth
