Do you Feel a sense of Community? LGBTQ or not.

You mean some LGBTQ are conservative? I've seen that before. It was odd.
 
No not really I only have 2 gay friends and they have no idea I'm gay. I certainly feel no community with regular gays I'm a big chub bear so generally up against a twink, or muscle adonis or just your average thin gay guy, i'm looked through like I'm a plate glass window! But i've learned invisibility can be a thing of beauty!
 
Totally! I'd like to hear more about your process with that, ShadowCat. Sounds like some inner work/healing. I'm trying to build a stronger sense of self as well, so that perceived approval or non-approval are not the be-all end-all. Relativize the ego a bit. Keep being caring, but not about the wrong things... Pretty important when you're someone who wants to help change the world--thus say a few unpopular things-- as well as just for dealing with the confusion of what men want, lol. I'm hoping going to graduate school will give me a sense of direction.
