i'll come home from work to do nothing. the first time in 5 years where i'll spend new year's eve home but it's all good though. i'm not waiting for nye to party hard anyway. i'm happy to be alive to see another year. i'll save my partying for friday possibly, thinking about going to my first gay bar.

Me and the other lads I live with are going to cook a 3 course dinner, and drink some fine, expensive wine. And then we're going to the pub to celebrate the coming of the end of the world.

Big party at my house. Not my idea! People started showing up tonight. I don't think I'm going to enjoy myself. Maybe I'll just lock myself in my room and ignore everyone. I guess it could be fun. I'm a big fan of being quiet though.

I got sick and the guy I'm pursuing has to work past midnight so I plan to stay home and chill. I was hoping to do something more festive but I can party any day.

This is probably the most un-New-Years'y "beginning of the year" that I'll ever have.

Just another day of working, etc. because I fell behind schedule enough that the large project-at-hand is threatening my beginning-of-spring plans. I have to get it going, because its course runs about fourteen weeks, but getting it going might be three weeks away yet.

Me and my boyfriend, are having dinner tonight. I know the social cow in him will buzz me for a night out at some crowded place, but hey I know how to handle a man, been handling myself for all these years.

I'm going to be working, but I'm a bar tender, so it will be on hell of a party. i'm hoping that I have enough energy to keep up the pace. It will be my first new years mixing drinks. I usually spend new years at home, so I have no idea what I'm in for.

Going to a mate of mine's place, going to be a small party should be about 7 of us in total. There's another huge party going to happen at a farm of a mutal friend a few km up the road so we might all pull in there for the countdown and a few drinks if we feel like it. But local news has been warning that cops are going to be out patroling big time so we'll have to watch it if we are going to be driving around.

I never do anything on New Year's Eve. For me, it's just another day on the calendar. Yet, I always feel I'm missing out on something.

I'd like to go downtown tonight to see if anything's happening. And I'm a little tempted to go to the baths. Getting laid sounds better than sitting here at the computer.

It's family tradition for the entire family (including friends of the family) to come together and celebrate. So yeah, that's what I did. Food plus silly games plus lots of drinking. We did the countdown, sang and dance and headed home after that. It's 2:16 a.m. here and I can't sleep. Still a little high.

First I drink the cheap champagne from the supermarket, then I cycle into town (Amsterdam).

For the past few years, we've had like a kid party at my house, where all of the family friends kids come over and we all just hang out. Well this year, I don't think that's happening so I'll have to find something else to do.
