Thankfully, not chronic for me. When I was 26, I messed up my back doing squats wrong. My back went out then, and it has gone out a few times since then. This year I experienced sciatica for the first time from pushing myself too hard in completing a project in the garden, and it took a few months to completely go away. I'm thankful that I do not have chronic pain yet.

Thankfully, no. I don't even take any prescriptions.

Well...I have one prescription that I take once in a while....you know.

Yup. All likely from accidents when I was younger.

Fractured discs.

Arthritis in my left foot and fingers.

And now from diverticulosis.

Shoot me.

Minor knee discomfort if I'm on my feet a long time. I've been cooking professionally for over 40 + years. A lot of long hours and no sleep in the beginning.

But so far so good. I think my oldest Nephew is 45-46 and he complains much more than I about back and knee issues.

Kids these days. :)

I have spinal stenosis from congenitally narrow area in my spine. Many people who say they have sciatica actually have stenosis.
Staying flexible and doing exercises has minimized a condition that can make walking and standing unbearable. Haven’t had a flair up in 10 years.

I guess I do.

I imitated the Flying Nun when I was 20 or 21 but without the cool hat and landed in the gutter with a broken leg. That was weird, I could feel my leg but couldn't even wiggle my toes. Trippy. The docs put my leg back together, "reduce the fracture", and said 50/50 if ya get to keep your leg. Almost a whole month in the hospital. I don't limp unless I'm real tired. Can't run for shit, it's like gee!! who'da thunk there might be nerve damage what with a foot long scar on my thigh?
Sometimes my leg gets to aching so much that I wish I had a pair of crutches. But I don't because I loaned them to someone that needed a pair and did they give them back? Nah, they tossed them in the dumpster when they were done. asshole.
Can I tell the weather? Not beyond "the weather is going to change". Might as well watch the liars on TV.

I went to the dentist several years ago to get caught up. He was like "does this hurt?" "How about here?" He seemed baffled. This went on for a few visits until I wore shorts for an appointment and I stood up and pulled up my shorts to show him the scar. Then he understood.

This is a small town and before there was a hospital, he was here being a dentist. Well, for DPS that's close enough to being a doctor to be called to car wrecks. .... oh, 40+ years ago.

Meh.

My back tries to do a "fuck you and you aren't doing anything for a week" once in a while. I saw my mom toss out her back just for bending over to pick up someone's sock laying on the floor. I figure my back is genetic.

I'm not on any drugs other than a couple of aspirin once in a while and a couple of Tums a month. Which seems to amaze folks. Shrug.

He needs to buy better shoes. Something several classes up from Wal-Mart's version of Keds. And maybe a size or two larger than what he wore in Highschool so his feet can spread out. Been there.

How about if we shoot on you instead. Will that help?

Dude, what were you thinking?? You gotta have the cornette!

But remember, as Sister Bertrille always said, "When lift plus thrust is greater than load plus drag, anything can fly."
