Occasionally I will pass up a thread that's extremely wordy, if the subject doesn't capture my interest, but most of the time I read the threads I open. Some threads have nothing to do with the title description and I do find some that I care nothing about.

I'm referring to individual posts here rather than whole threads, but anyway ....

I can usually tell after the first sentence or two whether a post is likely to maintain my interest and will be worth reading all the way through. Of course, if it's from a Jubber whom I know well and like, I'll read it anyway.

I'm also a stickler for correct spelling, grammar and punctuation (especially paragraphing in really long posts!). The occasional blooper doesn't bother me, but a long post full of spelling mistakes and without a punctuation mark, capital letter or properly constructed sentence anywhere in it, certainly won't get my attention!

Yeah, it depends on whether it interests me, which is totally unpredictable.

If there are not too many posts, then I read them all. If there are pages of them, then I jump to the end to see where the conversation currently is going.

And I agree. If its a Jubber I like, I'll read most of his thread.

There are some that I read every post - as Hoody's - "I'm Gay" - and since I am guilty of posting some long threads ....

There are many that I ignore based on the subject:

poop threads - fleshlight, flashlight, etc

but the forum needs to be diverse

would not change it at all

I agree with you about having it well written. Nothing loses my attention faster than something I have to decpher.

For me to read the entire thread I need to find it interesting. Some of my favorites have been some of the ones about the silliest subjects.

It depends. If it's a subject I'm interested in or feel is beneficial to read/understand before I reply, I will.

Depends on the mood I'm in and how much time I have. I often skip long posts initially, but will later read them when I have more time. If it has run on sentences, no paragraphs and misspelled words, chances are that I won't read unless they immediately capture my attention.

Depends, if it's started by a Jubber with, oh - let's just pick one out of the air like say erm...'Belamy' or 'Newboy12' I usually Pass.

Nothing to do with the Jubber per-se you understand - just the unusual and unneccessary amount of choice wording.

It depends on how long I have been logged on. If I just logged on, I tend to read a complete thread. After a while, I usually get tired and tend to skim for the more interesting parts.

Depends on the subject, but also the poster, there are several that often make very good contibutions that are worth reading compleatly, also depends on the font, some people write all in bold or weird spacings which is just anoying and hurts my eyes, so I automatically skip, others like Croynan post and hightlilght key points which is very useful.

If I'm going to post I read the entire thread, if not I read until I lose interest.

If the thread title doesn't catch my attention I don't go into it. If it stays on the front page for a day or so then I'll break down and read it, but usually not respond because I feel as though I've missed it and anything I say will be a repeat.

If I go into a thread and there are, say, 1-7 responses I'll read them, if there are many more, I pick peoples I like and read only those (people I like being people who I PM or IM with or people who I think are "good posters"). Sometimes I only read the first one and reply, like in this thread.

I usually read all the posts before replying, out of respect for everyone else (I am interested in what everyone has to say, that's why I come here).

If the topic creator hasn't written a good introductory statement, I usually will skip, and go on to another topic.

If the thread looks like this:

in this picture there are fortyseven people none of whom can be seen in this film we hope to show you how not to be seen this is mr er bradshaw of napier court black lion road se5 he can not be seen now i am going to ask him to stand up mr bradshaw will you stand up please this demonstrates the value of not being seen in this picture we can not see mrs bj smegma of 13 the cresent belmont mrs smegma will you stand up please this is mr nesbitt of harlow new town mr nesbitt will you stand up please mr nesbitt has learned the first lesson of not being seen not to stand up however he has chosen a rather obivious piece of cover mr ev lambert of homeleigh the burrows oswestly has presented us with a poser we do not know which bush he is behind but we can soon find out yes it was the middle one mr ken andrews of leighton road slough has concealed himself extremely well he could be almost anywhere he could be behind the wall inside the water barrel beneath a pile of leaves up in the tree squatting down behind the car concealed in a hollow or crouched behind any one of a hundred bushes however we happen to know hes in the water barrel mr and mrs watson of ivy cottage worpleston road hull chose a very cunning way of not being seen when we called round their house we found that they had gone away on two weeks holiday they had not left any fowarding address and they had bolted and barred the house to prevent us getting in however a neighbour told us where they were and here is the neighbour who told us where they were and here is where he lived and this is where he was born and this is where lord langdon lived who refused to speak to us so did the gentleman who lived here and here and of course here.....

And onwards and so forth, unless of course it's actually Monty Python then I'll read it.

If the author isn't going to at least use capitalization and some spacing now and then, it's just way to difficult to read and kills thread rather quickly.
