Thought I'd start this thread so that us whovians can talk about the episodes in the upcoming season of Doctor Who.

There's been alot of internet rumours going around that Darvos, the creator of the Daleks will be back in this season!!

So gather around the tardis people, cause this time the journey of a lifetime just got better!

Here's the plot lines for the entire season four run! Take with a grain of salt people!!

There'll be lots of explosions and running around and probably a computer graphic monster or two. Think Alien 4 meets James Bond.

The Doctor and Donna land on a library planet in the 51st century that had been abandoned 100 years ago. The library contains trillions of books each showing the future history of individuals. Histories that haven't happened yet. The Doctor and Donna encounter dead bodies, data ghosts, the Suit Creature, Vashta Nerada (piranhas of the air – shadows that melt the flesh) and archaeologist Professor Bernice Summerfield - oops sorry - I mean Professor River Song played by Alex Kingston. At the end of part 1 Donna is separated from the Doctor and finds herself in a mysterious hospital administered by Irving Braxiatel - oops sorry - I mean Doctor Moon.

Turlough, oops, I mean Donna starts receiving strange images of a girl with blond hair. The girl's name is Rose and she warns Donna of a plan by the Daleks and an old enemy of the Doctor's to destroy her universe.

410. Midnight
(Suggested Title - Time War 1)
What do the Eternals have to do with things? Rose and Martha band together to control the TARDIS and try to find the Doctor who gets himself lost in space! Captured by the Eternals, Daleks, Axons, Sontarans?

The Doctor finds out about the messages from Rose but can't do anything about it when suddenly the alternate reality holding Mickey, Jackie and Rose collapses, sending them back to their original universe.

Confirmed that this final story will feature Rose, Mickey, Pete, Jackie, Sarah Jane, Captain Jack, Martha Jones and K9 as well as Donna and the Doctor. It'll also feature Davros played by Julian Bleach. It is likely to feature Sontarans and Daleks in a war as well as other aliens in a final gobsmacking battle.

Davros has been located by Caan and he is helping the Dalek to create a new race of Daleks. In a shock development in the final episode, a Dalek casing opens to reveal Harriet Jones, played by Penelope Wilton, the mother of all the new Daleks.

Rumoured to feature the Torchwood team too as well as the newly created daughter of the Doctor.

It's also possible the Master will be back in this episode, manipulating everything from behind the scenes.

Somewhere in this story, the Doctor and co travel to an alternate future with the Daleks running the world and greenhouse gases at an all time high.

This would also be story number 200 and worth a celebration in itself.

The final scenes involve the Doctor being wounded in an explosion and Sarah, Jack, Martha, Rose and Donna trying to save him.

This is believed to be a crash and burn story which wipes out almost anything that Russell T Davies has had a hand in creating in the past few years so that the new producer can start with a clean slate, so to speak.

40X2. The 4 Doctors (Suggested Title)

Rumoured that an extra special story will be written for the 45th anniversary to be broadcast on the 23rd November 2008 starring Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant with special appearances by other guest actors. Alternately this special may appear as a Children in Need extravaganza. With Peter Davison and Tom Baker confirming they would return for a cameo this is looking more and more likely. Fingers crossed!

2009 Series
New info re: 2009 below.
2 telemovies and 1 extended Christmas special starring David Tennant
The 3 Doctor Who telemovie scripts have been completed and centre around Rose Tyler, Earth Defender, trying to track down the Doctor who's caused some problems in the past, which are affecting the present. Billie Piper returns. This article also says that several Hollywood names have been approached but have turned down the offer to play a major villain linking the 3 telemovies. Hugh Grant was recently approached to star as the villain.

Filming has almost been completed for season 9. 2 telemovies and an extended Christmas special. At the end of the 2009 Christmas special David Tennant's 10th Doctor regenerates into Robert Carlyle as the 11th. Well, that's the plan. Robert is currently in negotiations.

Donna and Martha are not in season 9 as Martha will be full time on Torchwood and Donna turns out to be a bad character, like Turlough!

It's still rumoured that Jennifer Saunders appears as a temporary Doctor either in the Christmas Special or the Children in Need special. Remember what happened in the first Christmas special when the Doctor lost his hand? Well, other things can happen in that period!

I'm confused about the subject heading. Are you covering season 4 to season 30? I know season 4 starts in the UK on 5th April but I don't know what "Season 30" refers to.

I think he means that it is season 4 since of the new show, but all together (the classsic and the new series) this is the 30th season

I think a lot of these rumours will turn out to be just that but here's what I think:

I don't think the Time War will happen, if it does, it should be Time War 2, as the Doctor has already had the first in the 8th/9th incarnation, unless this is the 'four doctors' story, which i think would be better as the three telemovies, and perhaps using elements of the Dark Dimenon, the current Doctor goes missing as he is trapped in the dimenon, and the old Doctors and assisants have to face old (updated) villians to get him out

I think Davros will return, not sure if Julian Bleach will play him as he has just been in Torchwood (mind you, that could have been a test to see how he would play the part?) I think last Dalek will go back in time to Skaro and convince Davros (looking like a Human) to create new Daleks by mutating human (slimiar to in Daleks in Manhattan) This is where the Doctor finds out that Harriet Jones is now a Dalek, then, we see what we think is a new Dalek Sec (The Black Dalek) which opens up to reveal a mutated Davros, updating the one we know)

Whizkid is right. Under the new rules this will be season four of the doctor's adventures. But for us whovians it's actually Season 30.

As for the time war. I think in the first season the 9th doctor said that all time lords were called back home to fight in the war. This could include his previous incarnations...only time will tell.

As for the lone dalek. He can't go back to Skaro! Just like the doctor can't go back to Gallifery. Both planets we removed from the time stream during the time war. The Doctor said he watched his home planet burn up in time. But who knows. I can see Harriet Jones coming back as a villian for sure because she wants revenge on the doctor for what he did to her in the christmas invasion.

Now if I could just figure out what they mean by the last episode being a slash and burn show. Destroying everything that RTD wrote so that the new producer can come in with a fresh start. Does this mean he's going to push the reset button and make season's one to four no longer cannon?

As for Series Four I can't wait, am currently going through the Series Three boxset and trying not not to spend too much time watching various bits of filming from Cardiff that keep popping up on various sites!

Don't know for sure! Should be soon though. You could always save yourself the trouble and torrent it from the net to catch it. If i waited for CBC to get around showing it....I'd be 110 years old before season four even started here!!

Well according to the previews the new season is going to air on April 18, so we only have to wait a little bit longer, although that will technically be the Christmas special! I can't wait to see it.

Just got down seeing episode three. Pretty good. Looking forward to next week's show since a classic villian race of the Doctor's is back! So is Martha Jones.
