i believe concerning safety they are probably safer than many SUVs.
but they still look stupid and can't speed on the highway - but you can't do that in america anyway. at least you're not allowed to

It really wasn't about safety, and, in fact, it will be refreshed for the US market.
They said that the 3 cylinder diesel engine was slow (0-60 in 23 sec.), the transmission shift quality was harsh, noisey interior and poor instrument design.
They said that it was one of the worse cars they'd ever tested.

We do live in different worlds ! Here they are very much appreciated as a town car, as they park so easily. They also provide an excellent cheap publicity support. You could even say that it is considered "chic" to drive a smart.

You can't go fast anywhere anymore, and it's not he purpose. But for shopping and doing errands it's far more confortable than a scooter. Certainly with the rain we have in this country.

oh and we're talking about the 2 seater one, not the one pictured on the billboard on the post above... the for4 doesn't have anywhere near the same quality.
