Went to the Sail celebrations last sunday. Had a great day just ship watching and people watching. A guy asked me if I had a cigarette for him. I wanted to talk further but my courage failed me (mijn Nederlands is niet so goed).
Another missed opportunity.

I need a hug!

Just received a reply to one of my postings from Hardup1.
Nice comments. Shall I add him to my buddies (be my first). Guess not he might not like it and I havent got the courage to ask.

I am my own worst enemy!!

Aaaah well,

Was speaking to someone in chat last night. I won't name names, but this guy asked me to add him to Yahoo messenger. Came online this morning to check mail before going to work. The guy was online and asked me to join his conference which I did, explaining that I couldnt stay long as I had to go to work I even told him what time it was in Holland.
Started foto share, and as I had no time left and went to work. Arived at work to find a message left telling me to remove him from Yahoo messenger or he would remove me.
I dont need this sort of crap and am seriously pissed off at the arrogance and rudeness of this moron. Can think himself lucky I dont name names.

No, back to work,
Think beautiful thoughts.

I have got over my last rant. Several people have said that this sort of thing happens and you have to learn to ignore it. There are some weird people out there!!! So thanks to the guys that took the trouble to give me moral support on this stupid insignificant problem. I cannot believe I let it get out of proportion so much.
I am so pleased I joined up here, I have met some interesting people. As I believe I said in a thread somewhere, I spend far too much time here.........but I dont care.

I am getting ready for a visit from my sister and bro-in-law from UK. I shall be pleased to see them ofcourse, even if it does mean giving up my room for a week, and little puter activity too. What will be good is I will be able to do all the touristy things as I show her around Holland.
Hope the weather holds; you never know in Holland the weather can be more than a little..............capricious!!

It'll be fun.

Had an excellent chat last night with 2 or 3 others. Respect for others privacy will stop me from naming names. Let us just say international relations between Holland, Germany, Spain and the UK have definately improved. We all ended up naked sat in front of our pc. I reckon a naked man has nothing to hide. Those that were in chat know who they were, so thanks guys a good couple of hours.

I was a bit surprised yesterday while working my way thro all the millions of threads. Somebody had written (I cant remember the exact words) that people who write blogs are self opinionated and on an ego trip. He/she then went on to say he/she never read them. So if you dont read them, what's the problem??

For the record I do it
a) To let off steam.
b) to organise my thoughts
C) why not put your thoughts on a puter - I dont have room for notebooks and diaries.

Oh, yes, one more thing, I dont care a bit if nobody ever reads my blogs.

So there!!! (hehehehe).

I added the only foto I could find ofme, and its not good, still the cat came out ok. Maybe I'll delete it.

I'll think on it

I added another pic which if I am honest is not much better than the first., but I dont seem to keep pics of me (when you look like me, you tend not too!!)

I think I am losing the will to live......

I have worked for my employer for some considerable time now, along with other members of the team. The company is not one of the bes to work for, but it is employment and I enjoy the work.
Last month they announced that our department was moving to Barcelona.
Questions and their answers from management:-
Will you help us move? No
Will you help find accommadation? no.
Will you assist in travel fare to Spain. No.
Will I get the same pay? No, it will be reduced.
Why? It is cheaper.
How much cheaper? Well beer is cheaper there.
If I am worth 10 euros an hr here, surely I am worth the same in Spain? No, it is cheaper there.
Will there be a probationary period? Yes.
Even though I have worked for the firm for over 3 years? Yes.

They are not renewing contracts and most of the staff have either left for other work, resigned in disgust, or a couple have gone to Barcelona.
Looks like I'll be looking for a job again soon; my contract runs out at the end of October.

Loyalty? Forget it! Just do you your job and go home!

For the last 2 weeks I have been offline. The supplier in our area has been having problems so, no phone, no internet! I didnt realise I was going to miss be online so much, but thankfully I am back. You know what bothered me most? I had no way of letting anyone know why I wasnt online. I was afraid people would assume I was having a tantrum!! Paranoid? Me?
Had loads of emails to get through. The "Doug where are you?" type of email. Nobody tought I was having a tantrum, or that I had died. Ofcourse, some didnt even notice I hadn't been there...................................

I downloaded Lime Wire last night to see what it was like. After I had downloaded it a very good cyber-buddy came on line and lead me through how to use it. It is very simple.
This morning I thought I would try it out and downloaded a Jeff Stryker movie clip. Took about 14 minutes to download, but the quality is goodboth sound and visually.
Ofcourse I didn just sit there and wait, I got on with other things while it was downloading. It's a cool free programme. Will I use it much? Once the novelty has worn off probably not, but it is a useful tool to have. I expect I was the only Jubber not to have it.

I decided against lime wire after all. Nothing wrong with them but so many downloads were refused by my Kaspersky anti-virus, I decided it wasnt worth the risk.

Anything else I can try that is more reliable?? If anyone reads this please advise. ..|

Just thought I'd add some fotos of guys I like to see on tv or cinema. I have no idea of their sexual orientation nor do I care. These guys I love to bits!
Dont look for Brad Pitt, you wont find him lol

I have decided that I am going to put Karl Urban in his own foulder. He deserves it

....shall not use it again!
Went into chat last night, just me and one other; started talking and was asked how old I was. Being brought up to tell the truth I told him just turned 50 and was told "Sorry mate, dont mean to be insulting but I'm only into 30 - 35 yr olds."
It's CHAT for Christ's sake, I''m not making a date!
Anyway, told the guy, "It is insulting, but don't worry about it" and left. Those that have read my Blogs will no doubt remember I have had trouble in chat before. Maybe it should be moderated.
I shan't be going into chat again, in fact I am beginning to wonder about the value of staying with such bigoted ageists!
Just remember guys, you (if you are lucky) will reach my advanced, positively ancient age one day, and then you will know exactly how you made me feel.
Have a nice day.
Not!

I started a new job about 6 weeks ago, and spent a lot of time in the last 5 weeks thinking, "What the hell am I doing here? I hate this, it is horrible." Then last week everything sort of fell into place, and now I know what I am doing, it's not so bad after all.

Moral: Don't give up - keep on keeping on.

......on a wall of a Public Convenience ( rest room) in England and it seems appropriate to add it here.

A HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR READERS!

(I seem to remember I got a Christmas present there too, but that is another story [-X )

Here we are at the end of another year. What a year it has been. A death in the family; dismissed from a job; months of unemployment; 3 bouts of flu; 2 bouts of stomach virus; got a new job.
And still I am looking forward to what the next year will bring!

Ain't life grand!!!

Happy Christmas.
