Dream Boy: The Movie

I just discovered the novel written by Jim Grimsley, Dream Boy, has been adapted to film and is set to be release on November 4, 2007. I'm really on the fence with the news because the novel is such a beautiful work of written art that I'm not sure the film will fully capture the intensity and dream-like style of the book. I'm also not too keen on the selected actors portraying Roy, Burke, and Randy. Alright, I would like to hear any thoughts on the book, the expected film, actors, and whatever other opinions you might have.

Yes, it's the one. After what I heard, I don't think I could ever read this book. I mean, the ending seems completely unreal.

Read the book and hated it. It was just too awkward for me. And the ending was just way too.....off. That's like the only way I can describe it. Off.

I liked parts of it, including the ending. i didnt like the abuse angle, but id go see this movie.
